Graduate Schemes Available through University of Teesside

Graduates for Business
A scheme aimed at helping graduates to get their foot on the first rung of the career ladder by assisting them in finding employment with locally based businesses. Funded through One NorthEast the scheme is able to offer a subsidy to employers as an incentive to employ a graduate.

Shell Step
An eight-week program designed to offer second year students relevant work experience over their summer vacation period, as well as being paid a weekly training allowance. Participants are placed with local companies who have a specific project that they need undertaking. At the end of the project the student submits a written report and gives a presentation outlining their experiences at a local competition day. If successful there is an opportunity for them to progress to the national competition ' Most Enterprising Student'. Shell Step is a great way to enhance a graduate’s CV and demonstrate relevant experience to prospective employers.

Experience Pathways

Participants undertake work with local businesses in a field relating to their career aspirations, during which time they are paid a training allowance.
