This October sees the first national Visit our Schools and Colleges Week. The Week is a unique opportunity for senior decision makers from private, public and third sector organisations to visit a local school or college. Visit our Schools and Colleges Week is a quick and easy way to discover how employers of all sizes and sectors can best support the work of local teachers.
The two hour visit is designed to highlight the key areas where schools are looking to work more with employers, including: mentoring, work experience, enterprise activities, support for pupil literacy, numeracy and across the curriculum, as well as being a school governor and providing professional development to teachers. Run by independent charity, the Education and Employers Taskforce, the Week has the strong support of all the leading national organisations representing teachers and employers.
