Disabled get Key Facts Booklet

A charity that supports disabled people in Darlington has published a booklet containing key information and important contacts.

The publication is being offered for free by Darlington Association on Disability (DAD) to disabled people, their family, friends and carers.

It has been compiled to bring all the information together in one place, and is available in large print, electronic and audio CD formats.

Gordon Pybus, Chairman of DAD, said: “DAD acts as a focal point for consultation with disabled people and carers and manages a range of services and projects to support its aims.

“These are all detailed in our new booklet, Independence and Choice for All.”

DAD is a charity, led by disabled people, and since 1986, has promoted independence and choice for disabled people and carers.

Among the services it offers are Shopmobility, training, and direct payments support.

Copies of the booklet are available from the DAD head office at 20-22 Horsemarket, Darlington, next to the Dolphin Centre. For more information, please telephone DAD on 01325 489 999 or email info@darlingtondisability.org.

The booklet is also available online at www.darlingtondisability.org.
