Darlington Family Entertainment Centre wins top Industry Accolade for Second Year Running

Adventure Point has scooped a top accolade at the Play Providers Association (PPA) ASPIRE Awards, for the second consecutive year. The prestigious awards, now in their fourth year, took place at London’s Olympia.

Owner of Darlington-based Adventure Point, Carolyn Maxey, joined over 100 PPA members, industry suppliers and colleagues for the ceremony where she collected the Best Single Site Operator, again.

The ASPIRE Awards aim to identify and showcase those innovative operators making great strides to raise standards in the Indoor Play market with the winners decided by a combination of a judging panel and mystery shopper reports.

The 2011 Awards for the Play Industry Recognising Excellence (ASPIRE) attracted a broad spectrum of nominees from the PPA membership – from large multi-site chains to smaller independent operators, all keen to win one of the industry’s highest accolades.

Kate Costin, PPA Association Manager, commented: "

It’s a real tribute to the management and team at Adventure Point that they have been able to win Single Site Operator for two years in a row. It really goes to illustrate the benefit of investing in a site at the start-up phase and ensuring the business is more than just a play centre"

Carolyn Maxey, MD of Adventure Point at Morton Trade Park, remarked: "We’re thrilled to have won this award for the second year running. It proves that we’re still providing our customers with a first-class service and is a credit to the whole team at Adventure Point."

Adventure Point is more than just a soft play and outdoor play centre. It offers bumper cars, coconut tree climbers, a pets’ corner, relaxation areas for parents, and also serves up outstanding, healthy food and refreshments for the entire family. It provides a safe and secure environment for children along with the opportunity for parents to interact with their children, learning through play – there’s lots of information linked to the National Curriculum throughout the play frame.

Adventure Point at Unit 1, Morton Trade Park, is open every day from 9.30am until 6.30pm. For more information telephone 01325 481 616 or visit
