Story Title

ConnectFriday

Don’t miss out! The first free and informal gathering for like-minded businesses to meet and see how they can share information and intelligence on the green, climate resilient and low-carbon agenda will take place on the morning of 18 November.

The event is called ConnectFriday and will be hosted by ClimateNE, the climate change partnership for North East England. It will take place from 8am to 9.30am at the Settle Down Café in Newcastle.

This event is being held because businesses in North East England have stated that regular informal networking-style meetings for like-minded businesses to collaborate and share information would be welcome. In direct response to this, ConnectFriday has been organised - an event that will offer attendees the chance to network informally at a time that works for them. Where requested, ClimateNE will offer to ‘match’ and introduce businesses. Those who attend will also be given the opportunity to feedback and to input in respect of how future meetings should be run.

While there will be no presentations or formalities as standard, the first gathering will see Nicola Alexander, MD of Daisy Green, and Gary Thompson, MD of C2M UK, say a few words on how they met and have since collaborated on a number of exciting projects through ClimateNE.

Attendance is free of charge but a £10 fee will be applicable if 24 hours cancellation notice is not given.
